The cursed beetles sapped the deceased Beatle
George Harrison’s memorial Canary Island pine
that was planted in Griffith Park after he died.
The nasty drought allowed the poor pine as easy
prey for these beetles to hollow the trunk be thy name.
But “Here Comes the sun”, a Yew pine has now
replaced the island pine on Harrison’s 72 birthday
which was “Yesterday”. So everything is fine now
where soil, water, sun & love will keep the less
vulnerable Yew to flourish in continuous Memory
for the drummer boy who died way before his time.
